Young Farmers Tractor Run raises over £7,400
NOTTS Young Farmers Clubs are thrilled to announce the resounding success of last month’s Santa Tractor Run. The event had an incredible procession of 82 tractors, each one adorned with sparkling lights and Christmas ornaments, traveling a 36-mile route through Southwell and the surrounding villages.
The spirit of the season was truly alive as the procession brought festive cheer to local communities. Despite the initial wild weather, the skies calmed not far into the route, creating a safe and joyous atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.
Congratulations are in order for Stanley Cobb, who took home the title of Best Decorate Tractor, and to TAG Farming, who were awarded Best Fleet, with both winners displaying lots of Christmas joy.
The Notts Young Farmers Clubs extend heartfelt thanks to the villages, pubs, and businesses along the route for their warm welcome and support.
Notts Young Farmers Clubs would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our generous sponsors and supporters who made the Santa Tractor Run possible: Collins Earthworks J Hammond and Co,Fairview Farm Machinery, George from Through the Glass Photograph, Newark Community First Aid, A1 Mobile, Thoresby Farming and, BofsHogs.
A special thank you goes out to everyone who made a donation. The current running total is an impressive £7,350, which will go towards supporting young farmers over the next year, providing positive activities and opportunities to young people in rural areas of the county.
We are already looking forward to next year’s Santa Tractor Run, scheduled for Saturday 6th December, 2025.
