Welcome to the Wine Bank

Mr & Mrs Fine Wine is delighted to announce the relocation and expansion of its business this month!

The shop will be moving into the old HSBC building on Church Street, which has been aptly renamed ‘The Wine Bank’.

“This move is all about expanding our offering to our customers,” explained Gosia. “We believe that a great Wine Shop needs space for customers to sample the wines on offer – as soon as we saw the old HSBC building we knew it would be the perfect location to do this in.”

The downstairs area has been completely re-designed to include an extensive wine shop at the front leading into a fabulous soft seating area, complete with leather sofas, oak bars and tables to the rear.

A quirky addition is the ‘Wine Vault’ machine, which will contain a selection of 12 different wines including premium brands. Using a prepaid card, customers will be able to select a wine of their choice in 3 different measures, giving you the opportunity to sample a large variety of wines, without having to buy a whole bottle.

With extended opening hours until 7pm Monday-Thursday and until 9pm on Friday and Saturdays, you will be able to enjoy a glass or two with friends before heading out for your evening entertainment. Meat and cheese platters along with rustic bread and olives will also be available to complement the wine.

Upstairs the function room ‘The Treasury’ will be the location for future special wine tasting events. With room for 20-30 people, it can also be hired for private wine tasting evenings or private functions.

“With the additional space we have also been able to expand our ranges,” commented Chris. “We are really excited to be working with some fantastic new wine makers and suppliers and have some excellent new wines on offer.”
