OPENED last November, Soak Southwell has quickly established a loyal following from local residents, keen to enjoy sustainable, vegan, plastic free bathing and cosmetic products.
“I wanted to create something that helped customers looking to make positive lifestyle changes,” explained owner Louise Dugand.
“After a long career as a Business Analyst in a number of large corporations, I decided to take the plunge and open Soak Southwell creating a business that allows me to combine creativity with the wide range of skills learnt in the corporate world.
“I have tried to create a shop that can be enjoyed by all – vegans and non-vegans alike, adults and children, and both the local community and day visitors into Southwell.”
The key focus at Soak is on Soap with over 50 varieties on display at any one point in time. The roly poly soaps on lollipop sticks, jelly baby and lego shaped soaps and soap cake slices have been a great hit with children and a range of organic soap bars has been recently introduced which are 100% natural and palm oil free. So there is something to appeal to everyone.
If you are partial to a bath, there are over 20 plus bath bombs in stock including a range of mini bath bombs at pocket money prices for younger customers.
All the products stocked are handmade in the UK and include hair shampoo and conditioner bars as well as solid body lotion, shaving soap bars and body scrub bars, bath salts, bath creamers, natural deodorants, hand and foot creams and clay face masks.
