Water for the Third World

Members of Upton WI walked from Upton to Southwell as their part in the water relay organised by the District Group of WIs. 

All members were sponsored and the result of their effort was £58.29 which will go towards the total raised by all the area’s WI groups. The total sum of money will be donated to an organisation providing piped water for the small African country of Lesotho.

Anoth fundraising effort by members was a pottery sale in June which realised £28 for the Cancer Relief Fund.
