Did you love playing netball at school or at club level but had to stop because of injury or other commitments? Well here’s an opportunity to take to the court again with just as much enthusiasm, competitiveness and especially, fun.
Walking Netball is a slowed down version of the game designed for anyone looking to exercise in a relaxed, supportive and friendly environment. The rules are almost the same but at a walking pace with no running or jumping involved and every session contains a gentle warm up. Everybody is welcome – even if you haven’t played before.
Sessions have been running at Southwell Leisure Centre since the summer and so far we have had 28 ladies come along and have a go. This isn’t about performance netball but about fitness, fun and friendship.
Walking Netball takes place in the sports hall at Southwell Leisure Centre on Tuesdays from 1pm to 2pm. To find out more contact Anne Henderson, Walking Netball Host, on 07870 442872, Southwell Leisure Centre on 01636 813000 or just come along on the day. We’d love to see you there.
