TV Title Leads to Greater Things

22 Year Old Jane Elliss is Central Television’s ‘Girl of the Year’.

Jane won the title a couple of months ago and has been opening fetes, galas and charity functions, fulfilling modelling assignments and photographic work and doing radio presentations since then.

Part of the beauty competition prize was a trip to Hong Kong and Jane will be flying there in September after entering the Miss United Kingdom contest.

Jane’s sister, Fiona, won a modelling competition earlier this year and travelled to America as a result. While Fiona continues to run her Beauty Therapy business from her home in Southwell, Jane lives and works in Nottingham. She is an instructor at the King Street Health Spa, Nottingham but hopes eventually to own her own health club or health farm.

After leaving the Lilley ans Stone School, Newark at 17, Jane enrolled at the Lucy Clayton modelling school in London, From here she got a job in a Nottingham health club and a few fashion and photographic assignements. Now with one beauty title under her belt she is preparing for the Miss UK contest in August. We wish her every success in the future.
