Team Pukkacabana” (the Righton family) won the prize for best fancy dress in their Brazilian Carnival outfits at the recent Lowe’s Wong Infants’ School World Cup Treasure Hunt. Sarah and Harvey Kilborn clocked the fastest time around the course, and the overall winners were Jack and Leon Jarvis.
Prizes were donated by local businesses including Pukka Pedals, The Hearty Goodfellow, Scoozi Pizzeria, Jango’s, White Post Farm and Best Sports.
Friends of the School Association Chair Jude Jarvis said: “The children had great fun solving the clues based on local facts and landmarks around town,
and enjoyed sharing a relaxed picnic afterwards. Thanks to all the families who took part – this event topped off a bumper fund-raising year and we’ll
be buying more playground equipment including wooden seating for the children, a playhouse, and a new flatscreen TV for the Foundation area”.
Headteacher Aly Speed commented “I’m very grateful to the FSA for another outstanding fund-raising year – the monies raised by parents help us provide the children with extra play equipment and fun events throughout the year”.
