Tots set a very Wiggly Challenge

The Giant Wiggle encourages children to get active and help others. Leading charity Action for Children is teaming up with The World of Eric Carle™ and encouraging children’s centres, nurseries and groups for under-5s across Nottinghamshire to host a Giant Wiggle on Thursday 19th March 2015 to celebrate the UK’s most read children’s book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar™.

The event will bring together under-5s to wiggle along in giant caterpillar conga lines, encouraging them to help others, and open up their imaginations through storytelling and creative activities.

Partnership fundraising manager at Action for Children, Katie Frisby, said: “We want to celebrate Eric Carle’s beloved book by encouraging Nottinghamshire children to get active and have fun.

“By hosting a sponsored Giant Wiggle you will help us to support vulnerable children, young people and families in the heart of our communities, and across the UK.”

Action for Children provides early years child development, learning and childcare services to thousands of tots throughout the country, through its children and family centres.

In March 2014, more than 32,000 children from nearly 800 schools and nurseries took part in The Giant Wiggle, raising £80,000 for Action for Children.
