Southwell Traders Late Night Shopping

The fifth Late Night Christmas Shopping Evening in Southwell seemed busier than ever this year. Despite the cold and occasional snow flurry the streets were filled with people enjoying the mixture of the town’s wonderful independent shops and festive music and entertainment.

Nearly every shop was open, together with all the restaurants, pubs and a full market so shoppers were spoilt for choice. Lowe’s Wong and Holy Trinity School choirs, the Castle House Singers and Newark Town Band added to the scene with carols and seasonal songs.

Some businesses reported that visitors had come from other parts of the district and were thrilled to find such a unique range of retailers offering choices not found elsewhere. They praised the friendliness they found in the town and loved the atmosphere of such a special event.

The Southwell Traders thank all their customers and look forward to welcoming shoppers from near and far throughout December – and 2018!
