Southwell Minster to get Messy!

Southwell Minster to get Messy!

News September 16, 2014

Messy Church has become increasingly popular throughout the country since it began in 2004, successfully spreading family fun, fellowship and learning among people of all ages.

Finding a good moment to share family time together is so important, and Messy Church enables just that – it is creative, and is all about being community together, and learning about ourselves and God as we do it.

Southwell Minster School Chaplain Matthew Askey had this to say about the new family sessions: “Messy Minster is a new monthly event for families; it’s for both children and adults together. A fun and relaxed experience of church for people of all ages to be creative, make crafts, eat, drink and worship informally together. Messy Minster sessions will take place on the 1st Friday of the month in Trebeck hall, right next to Southwell Minster, from 3:45pm – 5:45pm. The first Messy Minster will be on Friday 3rd October, then 7th November and 5th December. I’m looking forward to welcoming you – please come along and help us get messy!”
