Scouts Christmas Postal Service

Boys in the Southwell Scouts and Boys Brigade sorting the Senior Citizens Christmas mail prior to delivering it free of charge throughout the town.

During December the Venture Scouts’ programme included an evening at the Bowling Alley in Nottingham and the organisation of a competition for the local Guide Companies.

To complete their programme, the Scouts enjoyed watching the Walt Disney film ‘The World’s Greatest Athlete, and at the same meeting the investiture took place of Chris Baird and Fireman’s Badges were presented to Thomas Gray, William Evans, Gavin Peters, Michael Legg, Ben Harrison, Michael Duffy, Andrew Parker, Chris Baird, Neil Arrowsmith, Jonathan Wake, Greg Astill, Graham Renwick, James Pay and Simon Butler.
