WHILST most people are making final plans for their Christmas celebrations, the members of Southwell Rotary Club are already thinking about the New Year when, on Friday 6th January, the second annual collection of ‘used’ Christmas Trees for re-cycling will begin.

If you live in Southwell or surrounding areas, then Southwell Rotary Club will collect and recycle your tree for a £5 (or more) donation.

Last year, when this was a new venture, around £1,000 was raised for charitable purposes. After coming up with a few ways to improve the scheme, it is hoped that the January 2023 collection will prove to be even more successful.

If you would like to take advantage of this service, come and have a chat with the Rotarians at their stall in the market square on Saturday 17th December. Alternatively, email via this link: RotaTreeCollect@post.com or telephone: 07749 260207 – you will need to provide them with your name, full postal address including postcode, email address and phone number – they will then take care of everything else! Trees will be collected between 6th and 22nd January 2023.

The members of Southwell Rotary Club wish all Bramley readers a very Merry Christmas.
