Romans invade City Ground

Southwell City Romans U9’s finished the season with an appearance at the Forest Festival, a tournament played at the City Ground in May.

It was the team’s second year of playing at this event and the boys particularly enjoyed walking out of the tunnel onto the pitch, as well as receiving their trophies from Forest’s European Cup winning legend, John McGovern.

After an enjoyable season, which saw two players being scouted by Nottingham Forest whilst playing for the Romans, we are now looking for one new player to boost our squad for next season. The team will be playing in the Under 10 age group, so if your child is in Year 5 this September and is interested in playing for Southwell City Romans, please contact team coach John Cunningham.
