Ploughing Match showcases Rural Traditions

** It is with great regret, that following a Health & Safety meeting held on the show site at midday, the 2017 Ploughing Match and show has been cancelled, due to factors beyond our control. The decision has had to be made despite the show field being fully prepared but the car parking has been deemed unfit. Please do not email the office, all refunds will be made but please allow us a few weeks to process.**

The Southwell Ploughing Match & Show for this year will be held on Saturday 30th September at Kirklington.

It will be the usual award-winning show across eight carefully sited rings, each with their own full programme of events for the day; from horse jumping, parades of vintage tractors to the amazing display in the main ring of the incredible Rockwood Dog Display Team as well as The Famous Sheep Show!

There’s the usual extensive Ploughing Classes from vintage, horse, to the modern-day tractor. The usual array of livestock classes, static displays and extensive Produce Marquee displaying a vast array of horticultural and domestic produce as well as the 90 plus stalls in the Craft Marquee and Farmers Market. Not to mention the 125 carefully selected Trade stands where there is something for everyone.

There’s a large and varied fresh hot food and refreshment area within the trade stand area but near to bars and main rings where quality refreshments are available throughout the day, as well as picnic places around most of the show rings.

The Southwell Ploughing Match and Show is the largest but still the most authentic agricultural one-day show in the county! It is still the same format that won it The Best Country Event of the Year throughout the UK! It is always a great day out for everyone.

The Show site at NG22 8NX is open from 8.30am until 6pm on the day.
Adult tickets are £10 (only £8 in advance on line)) and children under 14 are free to enter. Special forward area VIP parking with 4 tickets is available in advance at only £50.
