Specialising in personal training for mature adults (aged 50-90+), Laurence is a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer, Level 2 Gym Instructor as well as kettlebell, chair-based exercise, and water-based exercise instructor.

With a Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral, he is also qualified to develop fitness programmes for those with respiratory, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular conditions as well as metabolic and immunological conditions.

“In this current climate it has never been more important to take care of ourselves and our overall fitness and immune system,” explained Laurence.

“My approach is based on the bio-psychosocial model of health and wellbeing.

“This means a focus not only on strength training but also on balance, flexibility, and range of motion exercises whilst harnessing the benefits of a balanced diet, healthy sleeping habits, and mental wellbeing.

“This approach has been found to ward off age-related muscle loss and even help combat depression and cognitive decline, reducing the risk of events such as falls, illness or significant injuries.”

Based in Southwell, Laurence will soon be offering one-to-one and small group sessions again in either the comfort of your own home or garden (covid restrictions allowing) or you can already start your training with him online via WhatsApp and Facetime.
