Southwell Gardening Club is preparing for a weekend packed with entertainment on the 19th and 20th July. All funds raised will go to support the Southwell Flood Forum and then Southwell Care ‘Flower Pod’.
Following last year’s very successful event, we will be hosting another evening of opera in the garden on Saturday 19th July at Clyde House, 23 Westgate, featuring Southwell’s own Mezzo-soprano Emily Mowbray and friends performing a range of arias. The garden will be open for picnics (just bring food and a chair!) from 6.30pm with the opera starting at 8pm. Tickets £15 each to include a glass of bubbly.
The next day, Sunday 20th July, six gardens in Southwell will be open to all from 1pm to 5pm. Come along to admire, pick up ideas, and see what other people have been up to. Also, a chance to see what Southwell’s infamous guerrilla gardeners have been doing as you follow the trail around the gardens.
