North Muskham Referendum

North Muskham Referendum

Extracts from The Bramley 30 Years Ago April 23, 2013

The result of a referendum called to determine whether a Village Hall should be supported by a 3p Parish rate was: FOR, 65 – AGAINST, 72.

Of those in favour, more preferred a community centre in the school rather than an extension to the pavilion. At the first meeting of the new Parish Council on 11th May David Jennings was appointed Chairman and David Mellors, Vice-chairman. Thanks were expressed to Mrs Thurston, the previous Chairman, who has retires from the Council.
