Supporting the work of Southwell Minster Choir Association.

Chamber concerts in the historic Great Hall of Southwell Minster

Sundays at 7.30pm. Refreshments served from 7pm

Sunday 11 May
Stephen Cooper baritone, Paul Hale piano
The season opens with a recital by talented baritone Stephen Cooper, who will be performing Schumann’s Dichterliebe and Songs of Travel by Ralph Vaughan Williams.

Sunday 15 June
Mark Hacking bass viol & Philip Robinson harpsichord
Local musicians Mark Hacking and Philip Robinson join forces to explore music from the Eighteenth Century. They will feature well-known figures J.S. Bach and Handel alongside lesser-known composers Marais, Forqueray and Abel.

Sunday 6 July
Andrew Ashwin – ‘A night at the Opera’
A graduate of the Royal College of Music, Andrew Ashwin will entertain us with a varied programme of operatic favourites, accompanied by Simon Hogan. Mozart, Bernstein and Britten will be featured.

Sunday 14 September
The Minster Chorale
To kick off their 20th anniversary celebrations, The Minster Chorale will perform a varied and exciting programme of sacred and secular choral masterpieces, ranging from Finzi, Rheinberger, Byrd and Lobo through to light-hearted arrangements of popular classics.

Sunday 12 October
Oliver Lallemant
An evening of jazz piano from Oliver, a former organ scholar of Southwell Minster.

Sunday 9 November
Nottingham Youth Orchestra Showcase
Ensemble performances, quartets and soloists feature in what promises to be an evening packed with variety, brought to you by the talented members of Nottingham Youth Orchestra..
