LAST month, the Notts County Schools Swimming Gala made a welcome return after a four year absence due to Covid.
The Lowe’s Wong Junior school swimming team took part in the Newark round against ten other local schools.
They competed in a range of different events including front crawl, breaststroke, backstroke, both as individuals and as relay teams, but the highlight and most fun was to be had in the hilarious woggle relay and ball relay.
Congratulations to the students who placed a brilliant second, with only six points between them and first place.
As their times were so strong they will be going through to the County Finals to be held at Hucknall Leisure Centre on Monday 15th May. Good luck to them all.
