TRADITIONALLY visiting your Barbers was somewhat of a social event; customers would pop in and sit and wait as long as was needed to get their haircut with the next available Barber, or in some cases, would wait for their preferred barber.

As times have moved on the younger generation particularly has less time to sit around and wait for their haircut and with many of us having stressful and busy lives, we decided to consult our clients as to whether they would like us to introduce an appointment system. Surprisingly most clients said that they would prefer to know when they were going to be seen. This was especially true for our Saturdays clients, who can’t make it during the week and might find themselves sitting for an hour or so to be seen. However, a number of clients said they preferred to walk-in without the commitment of having an appointment. As we now have five Barbers, we decided that we would be able to offer both appointments and walk-ins.

Our brand new Appointment App ‘NEARCUT’ can be downloaded for free on your smart phone from either the playstore or the App store. Once you have registered you can book your appointment with Paul McCarroll or Marian (Mark) Burlacu at the touch of a button on your smartphone. Clients will be able to book their hair appointments on the same day so forward planning isn’t necessary. WALK-INS are also still available with Sarah, Terry or Kirsty daily for those who like to be more spontaneous. Our prices and services can be found on our website, where there’s a drop down menu allowing customers to view all the information they need including staff holidays, who works when and there’s also a few pictures of some of our haircuts!

New Recruits!
We would also like to introduce and welcome our newest Barber Terry Wheeler, who joined our team a couple of months ago. Terry has been in the Barber trade for 40 years and has a wealth of knowledge and expe- rience in the Art of Gents Hairdress- ing. Kirsty Wilcock our junior Barber, has now completed her apprenticeship under the watchful eye of Paul Mccarroll and is very competent in all areas of Gents styling. Mark Burlacu our resident Skin fade and Wet shave specialist also welcomes clients old and new – but please remember to book if Mark is your preferred Barber.

As always freshly ground coffee is complimentary to all clients should they wish, and a new little touch a HOT TOWEL to wipe off all those unwanted hairs after your hair service.
