Easter was a busy time for all this year especially at Making it! Discovery Centre who played host to their first Spring Home and Garden Market, attended by many local businesses and crafters.
Based on Littleworth, Mansfield, the former Mansfield Brewery site is the perfect location for a family day out during Nottinghamshire School holidays when the centre is open to the public. The spring fair was an addition to normal Easter activities and a welcomed treat for families visiting the centre across Easter weekend.
After the success of Making its first fair in November 2013, organisers were keen to offer another jam packed event to draw visitors to Mansfield to support local businesses. With a variety of stalls selling produce such as plants, candles, chutneys and cupcakes along with demonstrations for both adults and children, the event was a real hit for families and couples alike.
There was also an Easter fun hunt where children searched high and low for Easter bunnies, counting how many they had found along the way in an attempt to win a family day pass to the centre. Lucky Jessica Marriott was picked at random to be the winner of the prize and will be visiting the centre again later in the year with her family.
