Lowdham Book Festival will soon be upon us and some events are selling very quickly so do call our Box Office on 0115 966 3219 to book your tickets – we hate to disappoint!
There are many highlights this year, including a morning at Nottingham Playhouse on Saturday 20th June with the acclaimed author, Marina Fiorato. Marina visited us a few years ago and we had a sell-out afternoon with her so don’t miss this treat! She will be in conversation with the Playhouse Artistic Director, Giles Croft, about her latest novel Beatrice and Benedick, based on Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers in Much Ado About Nothing. Tickets include coffee, cake and a copy of the book.
Our annual cricket night is always popular and this year our usual interviewer, John Lucas, becomes the star of the show as he discusses his latest book The Awkward Squad: Rebels in English Cricket. A fun, inter-active event for Harry Potter fans of all ages takes place in Lowdham Village Hall on Wednesday 24th June, and the Craft Day on Tuesday 23rd promises to be a special event with stalls, workshops, talks and demonstrations (look out for the knitted arrows near the new Southwell Road Community Building!)
We look forward to welcoming you – for the full programme of all our events plus details of how to book please see our website www.lowdhambookfestival.co.uk or call our Box Office as above.
