Playing in the LV cup 2nd round against Sale Sharks at Welford Road, Leicester Tigers beat Sale 29-13. Stone came on as a sub in the 70th minute replacing Harry Thacker.

Stone said: “It was a surreal experience to actually be on sky sports and not just watch it and to know people like me were watching me. It was overwhelming to be at the ground in front of such a big crowd. I loved every second of the opportunity and it felt so weird to come back home after the game to Southwell and continue life after such a high.”

Stone will find out in February if his contract with the Tigers will be extended. He is currently at Queen Elizabeth college in Leicester studying A levels and also plays Rugby full time.

Stone, who has played Rugby for England was injured for six months last season. However, he hopes to represent his country again in the future and is now pushing for the England 18s spot.
