TALLENTS Solicitors has raised an incredible £9,525 by participating in an annual charity will-writing campaign – making it one of the highest donating firms across the UK this year and the third highest in the East Midlands.
The 250 year old law firm has taken part in the Will Aid campaign since 2015, raising a grand total of £71,008 by volunteering their time and expertise to write wills and, instead of charging their usual fees for writing basic Wills, inviting clients to donate to Will Aid.
The money raised is shared between the campaign’s nine partner charities, which work across many different causes in the UK and across the world.
Sarah Allen, Head of Wills, Trust and Probate from the firm, said: “The entire team is very proud to take part in Will Aid and we’re delighted to have given so many people the reassurance of knowing they have a professionally written will.”
Jayne Owens from The British Red Cross visited the team to express thanks on behalf of the charity and Will Aid for their fundraising efforts, saying: “We are so very grateful to Tallents Solicitors and the Will Aid scheme for their generous contribution.”
Sarah finished: “Participating in fundraising like this for Will Aid has been part of the ethos at Tallents Solicitors since Philip Tallents first opened the firm’s doors for business in January 1774. We are very proud to still be making significant contributions to the community, alongside our unwavering dedication to providing exceptional legal services.”
