Bringing music (almost) right to your doorstep! A rare opportunity to get up close and personal with Steve Knightley the singer/songwriter who, as one half of the folk duo ‘Show of Hands’, has packed the Royal Albert Hall four times.

The Grow Your Own Gig tour is a huge departure for Steve and is a reinvention of his music and a reconnection with his audience. He’s going right back to grass roots, as far away from the Albert Hall as you could think – and Friday 30th January finds him in the impressive and intimate ballroom at the British Horological Institute in Upton, near Southwell.

For these local gigs the audience is just feet away and the venue is deliberately set up to evoke intimacy. Speaking in 2014 Steve said: “We (Show of Hands) have always wanted to just have enjoyable and rewarding days playing music in nice places, meeting people that you get on with, the Albert Hall one week and a village hall the next are equally as enjoyable.”

The British Horological Institute is as quirky a venue as you could imagine and January 30th is looking like being a night to remember. There will be a licensed bar and ample parking is available at the venue.

Tickets are £16 and can be ordered online: www.steveknightley.eventbrite.co.uk (Eventbrite booking fee applies) or by telephoning Vince on 01636 822742
