Southwell First responders would like to thank Southwell Lions on behalf of the local community for their kind donation of a defibrillator that has been installed outside the main entrance of The Minster School.
Mario Stankovic of Southwell First responders approached Southwell & District Lions President John Horsfall and enquired whether Southwell Lions would be prepared to make a donation towards a new defibrillator for Southwell.
President John invited Mario to the Lions next business meeting to present the case for a donation towards a defibrillator. After the demonstration it was agreed by Southwell & District Lions Club it would fund the whole cost and installation of a defibrillator at The Minster School.
The installation was made on 15th March. Representatives from Southwell Lions & Leos Clubs along with Minster School Nurse Julia Percy were there to celebrate this important event for the Southwell community.
Julia said: “I am delighted we now have a defibrillator on the school site. Thanks to the First responders and Southwell Lions, we now have easy access to this life saving equipment.”
