Life saving locations near you!

KNOWING where your nearest defibrillator is could save a life.

A defibrillator is a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is in cardiac arrest. This high energy shock is called defibrillation, and it’s an essential life saving step in the chain of survival.

If you come across someone who has had a cardiac arrest, it’s vital to call 999 and start CPR. When you call 999 if a defibrillator is required the call handler will tell you where the nearest defbrillator is and give you the code to access the box.

Southwell Community First Responders and other local groups have been fundraising hard to obtain defibrillators in public places in and around Southwell, which anyone can use in an emergency.
