Let’s start a refill revolution

 Have you discovered the Little Eco Loft in Southwell yet? 

Located on the first floor of the Portland Arcade, next to Southwell Library, this latest addition to our local high street boasts a plastic free refill system as well as eco friendly gifts and products.

Run by Sarah Simpson and Donna Mee, who last year took the decision to follow their long held ambition and open an eco friendly shop.

With a background in health, Sarah and Donna had been working together for the last three years at Lowdham Medical Centre. 

“We both feel very passionately about creating a clean and sustainable future for our families,” explained Donna. “The opportunity came up to follow our vision and we went for it! We hope that through the products we stock, we can help people make the swap to a more eco friendly lifestyle.”

Their FILL refill system allows customers to stock up on eco laundry, household cleanng and personal care products. All the FILL products are made at a family-run factory in Northamptonshire using bio-degradable ingredients to create simple, modern and effectie cleaning and laundry products. No Dyes. No harsh chemicals. No single use plastic bottles.

Customers can purchase the re-usable FILL bottles during their first visit or drop off their own containers and collect when ready (same day).

Little Eco Loft also stocks a selection of grains, pulses and seeds, which can be weighed and purchased in paper bags and Sarah and Donna are keen to expand this offering in the next few months to include a package free refill station.

Their shop also houses a great selection of eco friendly household items including cleaning cloths, brushes, storage containers, bamboo cutlery and cooking equipment.

This month for Valentine’s Day they have a lovely selection of heart themed products ranging from felted hand soaps, key rings and bath bombs to heart decorated baskets woven from recycled t-shirt material.

For those tea lovers there is a range of suitably sourced tea and coffee, complemented perfectly by a lovely selection of mugs and saucers. With a great range of Seeded cards you can have Valentine’s Day all wrapped up.
