Late Night Christmas Shopping!

The Southwell Traders look forward to welcoming customers old and new to their annual Christmas Late Night Shopping Evening on Thursday 29th November, 4.45pm to 8pm.

As usual it provides the perfect opportunity to combine shopping with festive food, drink and entertainment close to home.

Increasingly the whole town takes part in the event! Members of the Minster Girls’ Choir will be opening the evening from 4.45pm near the The Old Theatre Deli, followed by Lowe’s Wong and Holy Trinity school choirs singing carols in The Admiral Rodney courtyard from 5pm. Other musical interludes will be provided throughout the evening by Newark Town Band and the Lace City Chorus. The library will also be open with Christmas crafts for children plus mulled wine and mince pies.

In Bull Yard a Christmas film will be shown accompanied by a snow machine. Visitors may also like to look out for a ‘royal guest’ – King Charles 1, a great lover of Christmas will be mingling with the crowds!

For the first time Southwell Town Council will be switching on Christmas tree lights in the Market Square at 6pm (please note later time than previously advertised) where there will be a market.
