King Street Questionnaire
Some traders in Southwell recently voiced their support for the closure of King Street (the one-way section from One Stop westwards to Queen Street) to all but emergency vehicles on Saturdays, to help create a better environment in the town centre for families and shoppers.
The return of residents and visitors to our shops and businesses will be crucial as the restrictions on shopping are lifted and social distancing may become the new norm.
Southwell Town Council would like to hear what you think about shopping in King Street. Taking our lead from your responses, we will approach Nottinghamshire County Council with any new proposals, which could lead to the investigation of the feasibility of these ideas.
