Junior Badminton Mixed Doubles Success!

The badminton year is drawing to a close, with final matches now being played in the Nottinghamshire Badminton League. Our Year 11 & 12 mixed doubles team (Adam Mullen, Emma Hooper, Rachel Cutts and Dan Whaley) won their league beating teams from Worksop, Chilwell, Carlton and Bingham, while our year 9 & 10 and year 6 & under mixed doubles teams look set to be runners up.

For any children who would like to try badminton, one of our coaches is currently running some beginners’ classes at Southwell Leisure Centre on Tuesdays after school for ages 7-14. Booking is via the normal Leisure Centre process.

Southwell Junior Badminton Club aims to encourage all juniors who have an interest in the sport. Previous experience is not necessary, and boys and girls from School Years 3, 4 and 5 would be welcome for trials. Enquiries from experienced older players are also invited.
