The Palace Theatre Newark has today announced that comedian Jasper Carrott will appear on Saturday 9th May, bringing his Stand Up and Rock show to the town.
Stand Up and Rock does exactly what it says on the tin, with Jasper at his best – microphone in hand, regaling the audience with his inimitable stand up routines before introducing his musical compatriots who have been rocking audiences all over the world. In the Bev Bevan Band, Jasper has great mates and great showmen, with Bev’s fantastic credentials from The Move through to ELO, making his band one of the finest around.
Jasper Carrott’s career in entertainment started in the early 1970s and has incorporated hit records, autobiographies, sketch shows, live stand up (both in theatres and on TV) and much, much more. Stand Up and Rock promises to incorporate the best of these elements live on stage with plenty of Jasper doing what he does best – making people laugh!
Theatre Manager, Carys Coulton-Jones, says “we’re thrilled to be welcoming Jasper Carrott to the Palace this spring. With its combination of comedy and music, we have no doubt that our audiences will love Stand Up and Rock, and the fact that it is fronted by a comedian of Jasper’s calibre means that we are anticipating this being a really popular show”.
