Home-Start Newark needs your help!

Can you spare some time to help support and befriend a local family?

Home-Start Newark is a local charity which recruits and trains volunteers to help families with young children at home. This year is our 30th birthday and we’d like to invite you to join us in providing this much needed service to our local community. Our home-visiting volunteers help families to cope with the challenges of parenting and to rediscover some of the joy that family life can bring. We couldn’t ask for a better birthday present!

This is a great opportunity for retired people to utilise their valuable life experience to make a real difference in families’ lives. It’s also a good route for parents who are getting ready to return to work and want to gain useful skills/experience or to explore a possible change in career direction.

Whatever your situation, we’d love to hear from you if you have parenting experience and would like to find out more about this very rewarding opportunity. Full training and support will be provided.
