Guides Big Day Out

Seventeen members of Southwell Guides had an early start when they caught the train from Newark for their visit to London.

First stop the Tower of London to view the Poppies. Abbie said this was a very moving experience and the guides paused for a moment to pay their respect.

Then it was onto Wembley Arena to join 11,000 guides for the Big Gig 2014. The girls were wowed by performances from Union J, dance act Neon Jungle and Stooshe. Singer-songwriter Mike Dignam, Stacey Soloman and boyband Kingsland Road all got the girls dancing.

Award-winning dance troupe Diversity brought some of their best-loved routines to life and Little Mix brought the show to a triumphant close.

Katie said it was amazing and great to see so many Guides in one place.
