A young black cat rescued by a local animal charity is promoting the rewards of adopting overlooked but fantastic felines … and for good reason as it is commonly known that there are more black cats needing homes than any other colour.
Freya, taken in by Animal Accident Rescue Unit, is around just three years old – and recently became a proud puss-Mum to four healthy kittens. Content to be a lap-cat, she would suit a mostly indoor-life – as her fosterer confirms: ‘Freya is so affectionate – all she wants is food and cuddles!’
As with all the other equally loving but overlooked felines needing permanent homes, Freya is neutered, micro-chipped, flea and worm treated, litter-trained plus FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) tested for which she tested negative.
To share your life with Freya, ring 0115 9984307 after 6pm (this telephone number is only to be used for Freya enquiries), or email admin@aaru.org.uk. For other enquiries email as above or call 0115 9321555 including offering cat fostering – which the charity urgently needs to help animals like Freya and her kittens – perhaps you could foster one or two? They are waiting for that life-changing offer and all featured at www.aaru.org.uk .
