Free Race Night for Beaumond House

After the success of Southwell’s new initiative to get racegoers from the town and into the racecourse in 2014 through their inaugural Southwell Residents Evening, the course hopes to repeat the trick this time around, again offering free tickets to residents of Southwell and surrounding villages (within the Bramley distribution area).

On the back of that particular day, Southwell both kept the existing Southwell Residents Evening, and added a Newark Residents Evening as well for 2015.

The meeting in aid of Beaumond House Hospice takes place on Tuesday 2nd June and local residents can take advantage of 2 free tickets provided they use a certain promotional code on the website, which this year is “SRES15”.

General Manager Mark Clayton is hoping to follow on from the success of last year’s event, which brought a four figure turnout to the course: “Last year, Southwell Residents Evening was a really good success and we are more than hopeful we can replicate that in 2015. We feel as a racecourse that the local people in the surrounding villages are as important as anyone, and this meeting allows us to thank them for their support”

There is also live music after racing from Mellow Rebellion, which can be enjoyed in the ground floor of the grandstand straight after racing together with a £2 shuttle bus from Southwell town to the racecourse courtesy of Travel Wright.
