Flood Study Drop-in Events

Following the public meeting on 17th September, at Southwell Minster School, which over 200 people attended, Nottinghamshire County Council has arranged two drop-in events for people who were unable to come to the meeting, or who want to ask questions, raise concerns or offer mitigation suggestions.

The drop-in events are on Friday 25th (10am – 5pm), and Saturday 26th September 2015 (10:00am – 2:30pm) in the Admiral Rodney Function Room.

AeCOM (Consultants), Environment Agency, Nottinghamshire County Council and possibly Newark & Sherwood District Council will be present on Friday and Environment Agency and Nottinghamshire County Council on Saturday.

The consultation period on the Flood Study has now been extended to 12 weeks, with assurances from Nottinghamshire County Council that more drop-in events will be organised.

If you would like to submit any questions or concerns about flooding and mitigation, please do so directly by email to the Flood Team at NCC (flood.team@nottscc.gov.uk).

The Study and related documents were released on 18th September. There are some copies at the library and a link to the documents can be found here: www.southwellfloodforum.org.uk/archive/flood-study-report-available/
