Farnsfield gears up for new season

THE New Year has seen Farnsfield Cricket Club in full preparation mode ahead of the 2026 season, with a packed programme of winter training organised for all sections of the club.

The Women’s and Girls’ Section, which has welcomed a number of new recruits over the winter, is training in preparation for their 2026 Indoor softball campaign beginning in January in the Nottinghamshire Indoor Softball Cricket League. Open Age winter training begins in early February, as do the under 10 and under 11s. The Under 13 and Under 15 squads started their indoor training in January.

The Club continues to welcome new players of all ages, abilities and experience levels. Anyone considering taking up a new sport, or returning to cricket in 2026, is guaranteed a warm welcome and the opportunity to play at a level that suits them. Further information is available on the Club’s website.

Farnsfield Cricket Club now boasts more than 20 ECB-qualified coaches, including several qualified to Level 3, supporting players of all ages, with more members currently training to become coaches.

The club’s 2026 Sponsorship Package has been very well received. Farnsfield Cricket Club is grateful to the individuals and businesses who have already expressed interest in sponsoring or advertising with the club. Any individual, organisation or business wishing to join them is encouraged to get in touch.

The rearranged ECB Vitality T20 Club Plate National Final against Waltham CC, which had to be cancelled following rain last season, will now be taking place in May 2026.
