WHY not try The Waggon at Halam for your Christmas Party, treat yourself on Boxing Day or even see in the New Year with scrumptious food and musical accompaniment for just £45?
The Waggon in the village of Halam is a hidden gem 11⁄2 miles from Southwell and if you have not yet sampled its delights then now might be a good time to do so. With its cosy atmosphere and warm wel- come The Waggon can give you a true fine dining experience in the Nottinghamshire countryside.
The Head Chef, Edward Hack- land, has recently taken ownership and, supported by a young, vibrant team, produces fabulous dishes at reasonable prices that those “in the know” have become used to.
Edward, a finalist in Young Parliamentary Pub Chef of the Year 2015, uses locally sourced produce wherever possible, which includes meat from Robinsons of Netherfield and fresh fish provided by Dean Spencer of Grimsby. In July 2016 The Waggon was awarded the Cask Marque and has a superb selection of cask ales and fine wines to complement its excellent menu. As a young father, Edward has also recently introduced a children’s menu to tempt even the most discerning young diner.
Why not also take advantage of their Early Bird Menu running all day Mondays, and Tuesday to Saturday Midday-5pm where you can enjoy two courses for £10. Or visit on Tuesdays for their Steak Night for two and enjoy succulent steaks with a com- plementary bottle of house wine.
