Evolving Style at Carnill & Company

Carnill & Company, otherwise known as C&C and now a firm staple on Southwell’s Queen Street, is delighted to have expanded its services this month into the adjacent shop, previously occupied by Mr & Mrs Fine Wine.

Having outgrown its original premises, the new space will become a showcase of C&C’s ever evolving style and a place where customers can come and view the many services they have to offer.

When owner, Richard Carnill relocated to Southwell in 2013, bringing with him 25 years experience in the design industry, his focus was on unique home furnishings with a strong Belgian and Scandinavian design influence. Selected for their clean lines, subtlety and understated elegance, wherever possible the products are sourced from Europe and smaller UK firms.

“Opening my shop in Southwell, was a realisation of a dream to create a lifestyle concept,” explained Richard.  “I never wanted to be pigeon-holed as a gift or furniture shop, but more a lifestyle – hence our development last year into more bath & skin care ranges. We stock the Noble Isle luxury bath and body and home fragrance collection, which is all sourced in the UK and was created as a celebration of all things British. Also L:A Bruket, made in Sweden using organic formulations. The success of the bath and body collection led to the introduction of the 4 step skin care regime this Spring.”

“My other recent development has been the soft furnishings side of the business. We work with local curtain and blind makers and fitters and have access to fabric collections from some of the world’s best design houses including Zoffany, Colefax and Fowler, Designers Guild and Mulberry Home. All curtains are hand made to order following a home consultation and measuring.

Our sofas, chairs, ottomans and footstools are manufactured locally to order using solid beech wood frames made in Long Eaton and can now be viewed in our fabulous new showroom.”

So why not pop by to C&C and view the range of products and services now on offer. Located at 17 Queen Street, Southwell, Richard and the team look forward to welcoming you soon.
