Evolution – The Tozer Show 2015

Tozer Studios was founded in Nottingham just after the Second World War by Miss Sheila Tozer, a renowned and very gifted teacher. In 1972 she passed on the School to the late Miss Alison Willett who continued to develop its ethos and dedication, and in 1995 relocated it to its present rural location at Hockerwood Park, Southwell.

Miss Lindsay Haynes took over the reins in 2008, and under her superb leadership, ably assisted by Mrs Victoria Burnett, Miss Kristy Speed and Sarah MacLeod-Cahn (vocal classes), presented its recent Show – Evolution – looking back to see how the School has evolved over the decades. Pupils aged from 3 to 18 years performed a rich medley of song, music and dance which was much enthused over by the audience – as some of the numerous cards and letters have indicated.

From one father of a 3 year old – ‘Watching the entire show and missing the Six Nations Internationals was not what I would have prioritised! However, both of us found it exceptional and enjoyable’.

‘Choreography was inspirational; entire show was magnificent; regardless of whether you had children performing or not, it was brilliant; so professional; spellbound for three hours; a testament to everyone’s hard work; my daughter’s smile was bigger than I’ve ever seen it.’

‘The way the older students take time to look after and care for the younger dancers is fabulous and a credit to the Tozer ethos’.
Finally, from one 10 year old boy – ‘It was EPIC!’
