Easter Fun at Racecourse

With the daffodils starting to burst into flower and the temperatures slowly on the rise, spring is here and what better way to spend a day in the spring sunshine than with a day at the races.

Southwell hosts two Easter Fun racedays in April, on the 9th and 14th, which will not only feature two cracking days of racing action, but also children’s entertainment and Easter Egg Hunts on both days.
Both the Easter Fun racedays promise to be very popular, as does the inaugural Newark Residents Day on the evening of Friday 17th April. It is an evening fixture with Live Music after racing from the local Flipside Party Band to enjoy after racing over jumps. There will be 2 free tickets being made available to every Newark household, although it is limited availability. It is in aid of Beaumond House hospice and there will be a shuttle bus running between Newark and the Racecourse for people to get from one to the other.

Southwell Residents Evening will also be back in 2015 after its success last year, and will take place on Tuesday 2nd June. The Evening will be in aid of Beaumond House with Live Music after the racing. 2 free tickets will be available to every household in the Bramley distribution area and there will be a shuttle bus running between Southwell and the Racecourse. It is also very nearly time for the annual membership period to start, with the nine month membership option starting on 1st April and running through until the end of the year priced at £195. There is also the option of extending that annual membership this time around into a twenty-one month period, running again from 1st April up until the end of 2016, this one priced at £455.

There are lots of benefits in taking out annual membership, with free entry to all other racecourses owned by the ARC group, 10% discount on Pantry food, a large list of reciprocal fixtures and also the opportunity of playing golf with 2 x 2 balls at Southwell Golf Club, based on the same site as the racecourse.
