Earthquake Appeal

Local sports massage therapist, Alex Rainforth, has launched a fundraising campaign after the devastating earthquakes that have recently struck the island of Lombok in Indonesia.

Alex and his wife Becky, who live in Lowdham, were married this time last year in a dream wedding on the island of Gili T near Lombok.

This August Lombok has been shook multiple times by disastrous earthquakes, causing large scale destruction and loss of life.

Alex explains: “Our wedding organisation was done by a lovely lady named Dewi Ayu. Unfortunately Dewi’s family home, and 90% of her village has been destroyed by the quakes. She is currently staying in a relief tent with her family.

“We feel compelled to do something to help in what little way we can and so we are trying to raise some funds to donate to Dewi and her family to help them to start to rebuild their lives.”
