Southwell’s demands for a pedestrian crossing have reached a point where the general public must make its voice heard.
To get any further in its attempt to get a crossing installed on Church Street near the car park, the Parish Council has been told it must set up a petition to present to the County Council’s Environment Committee.
All parish councillors have a copy of the petition and there is one in the town’s Post Office and at the Recreation Centre’s reception area. Please try and put your signature to one of the sheets if you agree with preposition: ‘We urge that action be taken for the provision of a pedestrian crossing on Church Street, Southwell’.
A list of parish councillors is on the notice board next to the Handicentre, Queen Street.
