Decorate Southwell Yellow with Bikes and Bunting!

Southwell will be welcoming the Tour of Britain on Saturday 8th September. Geraint Thomas and Chris Froome will be joining the elite cyclists as they weave their way around Southwell’s historic streets. As part of the event we hope that residents will decorate their homes with yellow bikes and bunting. Last year the town looked amazing and we are hoping that this year it will be even better!

Nottinghamshire County Council has set us a challenge to be the best dressed community and we are sure that Southwell will shine! Southwell’s shops have picked up the Tour’s theme of music on the streets by decorating their windows. With bright yellow bikes and bunting, it will be a festive occasion. Come and watch the race with us, enjoy a brilliant day out visiting the shops, the heritage open day and have lunch at the many cafes and pubs! We hope that as many people as possible will join us for this exciting event.
