£50,000 has been spent on Southwell’s swimming pool over the summer in refurbishment and repair work.
As a result the Recreation Centre’s management hope the bright, sparkling conditions and warmer pool temperatures will attract back all their old users as well as greater numbers of new swimmers.
Newark District Council has provided all the funds for the refurbishment. The reception area will not be completely finished until the new Leisure Hall is completed at the end of the year, but the pool is open for use now – for full details of opening times telephone the Recreation Centre on Southwell 813000.
