PICTURED above are the winners of the Southwell Cubs 6-a-side football competition, held at Southwell Leisure Centre on Sunday 23rd February, 1986. They are the Monday Pack ‘B’ team – Christopher Borrowdale, Andrew Mcintosh, Peter McGlone, Matthew Russell, Samuel Tate, Mark Flanagan and Adam Edwards.
There were six team entries, two from each pack and they all played each other. After a well contested effort, the final exciting game between Tuesday ‘B’ and Monday ‘B’ gave the overall victory to Monday B.
The referee was David Vosper, organiser Steve Rigley, team managers – Monday, Richard Woodward; Tuesday, Greg Astill and Wednesday, Malcolm Rowe.
