A Flood Mitigation Community Meeting will be held on Thursday 10th April at 6.30pm at The Minster School, Southwell.
Flood consultants URS will present the computer flood model and explain information on Flood Risk Management solutions. Rolling simulated increases in rainfall will test the model to see if what it demonstrates is what we observe when it floods.
The model has been built using information and evidence gathered from the community. The presentation will show what happens, and where, when it rains. This is an important part of the process towards finding solutions to the problem of flooding in Southwell. At the meeting the community will have a chance to have a say on the next steps which will lead to preferred options for flood mitigation solutions for the whole town.
