City took on mighty Arnold in the first round of the Notts Senior Cup on october 8th.
The lads travelled to the former Midland League club’s ground in eager anticipation and with the sound performance against Keyworth United still in their minds from the previous week.
It really was a lot to ask for, victory against such respected rivals and the weather was not going to help either – squally showers and a keen swirling wind. City played with purpose and commitment and their efforst were justifiably rewarded with a great 2-0 win. It was certainly a feather in City’s cap and things looked set for a good cup-run.
