We are fast approaching December Southwell & District Lions’ busiest time of the year with a number of key community events being organised for old and young alike.
Starting on the 6th December when Lions invite our local Seniors to a Christmas Concert on the 6th December at the Minster School at 2pm. This event is free and open to all Seniors will include entertainment and refreshments. Lifts are available for those unable to make their own way. Everyone’s favourite event in the lead up Christmas – Carols for Everyone – will take place at Southwell Minster at 7:30pm on Saturday 13th December. Tickets at £6 for Adults and £3 for Children will be available from The Cathedral Shop on Church Street Southwell. Net proceeds from this sell out event will be donated to ‘Reach Learning Disability’ a local charity.
Santa complete with Carol Sleigh will be making his way to visit you all in Southwell and surrounding villages from Thursday 11th to Tuesday 23rd December.
Santa and the float will be outside the Rodney on 20th December from approximately 8.30am to 1pm.
